This is a corner stagger series that creates multiple scoring options out of the same setup. Using the same alignment forces the defense to guard different actions, which can cause confusion and breakdowns.

Setup
The setup looks like a normal stagger action.
Instead of using both screens to come up to the perimeter, 2 dives hard to the basket. This is especially effective if 2 is a bigger guard who can create a mismatch inside.
4 pops out to the three-point line as a secondary option.

Option 1
1 reads the defense and makes the pass to either 2 on the dive or 4 on the pop, depending on what’s open.

Backdoor Option
If neither option is available, 2 quickly sets a back screen for 5.
5 goes backdoor looking for the pass.
If the immediate backdoor isn’t there, 5 continues cutting to the left block and posts up with inside position.
