5 Out - Ball Screens
The same rules apply to ball screens in the 5-Out Offense.
You might give players the option to pass and follow with a ball screen.
The roll to the rim acts just like a cut - and each player rotates accordingly.
Phase 1
- 5 passes to 3
Phase 2
- 5 follows their pass and sets a ball screen for 3
- 5 rolls to the rim (a basket cut)
- 3 dribbles and makes a read
Phase 3
- 1 rotates
- 5 rotates
Phase 4
- Now we are back into our 5-Out alignment
