Thick but slightly soft rubber with wide grooves. Handles moderate outdoor play well but will wear faster on rough courts.

The Jordan Fly Lockdown doesn't look spectacular but it fits me perfectly and the materials are sturdy and durable. The traction is excellent and works well on dusty courts too.
The cushioning is pretty dead after a while, so probably not the best option if you need a lot of impact protection.
