Performance Summary
The Nike G.T. Cut 4 delivers excellent traction and bouncy Zoom cushioning, but suffers from a narrow, stiff upper.
Pros
Responsive Zoom cushioning
Good impact protection
Cons
Narrow, banana shape
Stiff, uncomfortable upper
Best Suitable For: The G.T. Cut 4 is best for narrow-footed guards who value traction and bouncy responsiveness.
Category Performance Ratings
8.3
Traction
Strong bite on clean courts, picks up dust but usually retains grip; can be inconsistent on dusty floors.
9.3
Cushion
Bouncy and responsive with solid impact protection and noticeable forefoot pop.
5.8
Materials
Fully synthetic upper with plasticky overlays. Stiff and not breathable. Tongue can dig, and some reviewers reported colour bleed. It feels inexpensive.
7.3
Support
Internal heel counter with solid torsional rigidity and a rocker design. Offers some stability but has weak lateral lockdown and forefoot shifting during cuts.
5.6
Fit
Runs very narrow and curved like a banana. Pinching toe box, tight entry, and a hard break-in that hurts wider feet.
33%
Outdoor
Standard rubber outsole. No major outdoor durability issues. The outsole holds up well.
small
large
Sizing
Runs true to size for narrow and normal feet. Slightly wide-footers should consider going a half to a full size up for comfort.
narrow
wide
Width
Fits narrow to regular widths best. Wide-footers will find the toe box constricting and may need a larger size.

Traction and cushion are nice, but this is a hard pass for me. The plasticky materials and the banana-shaped, super-narrow fit make it unwearable unless you have very narrow feet.

It's hard to recommend the Nike G.T. Cut 4. It has amazing cushioning and lockdown after breaking in, but it's heavy, hot, and not great for guards.

Nike's G.T. Cut 4 is a visually stunning shoe with standout cushioning and good traction once broken in. Materials and fit are stiff and very narrow. If you give them time to break in and you like the look, they can perform well, but the €200 price is hard to justify.

The G.T. Cut 4 has great traction and an amazing cushioning setup. However, the fit and materials make the shoe essentially unplayable for many. The tech is impressive, but I can't recommend this shoe at full price.

The Nike G.T. Cut 4 has excellent traction and an awesome cushion setup, but the materials and fit ruin the shoe. It feels banana-shaped, uncomfortable, and poorly executed. Not for me despite the midsole.

The cushioning and bounciness of the Nike G.T. Cut 4 are bright spots. However, the uncomfortable upper and poor stability are significant flaws. At full retail, the continual pain and fit issues make this a hard recommendation.

The traction is pretty nice once you break it in. It grips instantly on clean courts. Dust build-up reduces bite unless you wipe, and it can slide a bit on light movement.
