Nike G.T. Hustle Academy Review
Pros:
Reliable traction performance
Lightweight and breathable upper
Cons:
The cushioning setup feels dead
Lack of support features
Performance of the Nike G.T. Hustle Academy:
Nike's latest budget entry in the GT line of shoes strips down the Hustle too much and doesn't offer many upsides.
Traction performance is the shoe's best feature. Reviewers agree the bite is solid, especially on clean courts, but dust negatively affects the performance.
Reviewers agree the Hustle Academy lacks cushioning. There's very little impact protection, and the foam feels dead.
The materials are lightweight, comfortable, and breathable.
Support is also lacking. There's no torsional support because there's no shank, and the heel counter feels flimsy.
The Nike GT Hustle Academy gives up a lot of tech to be lightweight and suffers because of it. Traction is decent, but there's no cushioning and not much support.

You'll be good to go through most movements. The performance was impressive on clean courts. Wipe the outsole on dusty courts.

The traction performance feels similar to the Hustle 3 but is less tacky. It works well, especially in linear movements.

You have a solid bite, especially on clean courts. However, the performance is bad, but not terrible, on dust. I didn't experience dangerous sliding, but the stop wasn't the best.

Cushioning is the shoe's biggest letdown. The foam feels dead. It has a bit of impact protection under the heel, but your forefoot is close to the floor.

The dual-density foams feel similar to each other. You feel low to the ground, but there is no liveliness. The shoe also doesn't offer much shock absorption, so you feel the impact in your legs.

The materials are also a letdown. The Flyknit feels more like a mesh with TPU strands throughout. It offers a lot of breathability, but it feels cheap.
