This is an elite performance basketball shoe, 22 years later. Traction, cushioning, fit, and support are excellent. The materials aren't premium, and the $210 price is high, but on-court performance is outstanding.

I love the Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4. The tech is a bit outdated with Phylon and Zoom, but it's balanced and still performs well. Traction and stability are strong, and the aesthetics are beautiful.

The traction starts a little slick, but once warmed up and broken in, it becomes elite. I played over 15 hours and stayed stuck to the court without any wiping.

Traction is pretty good. The herringbone pattern grips well. I had no sliding, and dust pickup is manageable.

The herringbone traction performs really well in most gyms. It grips consistently and only needs a light wipe on dusty courts.

The midsole starts stiff but breaks in. Heel and forefoot Zoom offer a bouncy, springy ride with good impact protection and solid heel-to-toe transition.

The cushioning is not bad. It needs some break-in, but it feels responsive. The heel Zoom Air gives a decent amount of compression and subtle bounce.

The Phylon midsole with heel and forefoot Zoom units is serviceable. It's not as plush as modern foam and feels a bit stiff, but it still provides usable impact protection.

The materials are mostly synthetic and nothing special. The neoprene tongue has perforations, but don't expect premium leather.

Very supportive. TPU heel counter, external clip, carbon fibre shank and a chunky outrigger give excellent stability and lockdown on lateral cuts.

Support is adequate. The strap doesn't drastically change lockdown, and I felt stable during movements on court.

There is a carbon fibre midfoot plate and shank for stability. The base is fairly wide, and the TPU heel counter helps. Support is solid, though not extremely rigid.

The fit provides secure lockdown with no heel slippage when you tighten the strap. The strap can dig into the ankle at first, but you get used to it.

The outsole should hold up outdoors. The rubber isn't super soft or thick. It can work outside, but it'll pick up dust and small rocks.
