Rigorer AR3 Review

Pros:
Lightweight, breathable materials
Effective outsole performance
Cons:
Fit is slightly long
Cushioning is better for smaller players

Performance of the Rigorer AR3:

Austin Reaves' latest signature shoe, the Rigorer AR3, continues to provide exceptional performance for a low price. Traction performance is consistently good, even on dusty courts. Make sure to wipe to maintain a solid grip. Cushioning is low to the ground with decent impact protection and impressive responsiveness. There's a little bit of bounciness, too. The materials are thin and lightweight. The upper is breathable and comfortable, but the quality feels low. The fit is slightly long and spacious. There is plenty of room for players with wide feet. Support and lockdown are also good. The base is stable thanks to the outrigger, and heel containment is not an issue. The Rigorer AR3 is a borderline top-tier performer. The traction, cushioning, and support are all impressive, especially for the price.

The Rigorer AR3 is an A-tier, affordable guard shoe. Traction is top-tier, and cushioning offers great court feel. The pro insoles push it to an A+ for me.

I like the Rigorer AR3 for its breathability, forgiving fit, and bouncy, durable midsole. It's slightly long, which makes sizing tricky, but for the right foot type, it's my favourite in the line.

The traction performance is elite. The outsole doesn't clog and only needs a quick wipe. The bite is fantastic.

The traction is phenomenal on clean courts. It bites really well and has a loud squeak. It picks up dust quickly, so you'll need to wipe often on dirtier floors.

Traction has been amazing. It's all herringbone and grips consistently, but you need to wipe more often since the grooves could be deeper.

Traction is middle of the road. It slips at 33 degrees, but the chunky herringbone and wide tread give usable grip.

The full-length ETPU 'Showtime' foam is bouncy, with extra pop in the heel and a low-profile forefoot. Heel-to-toe transition is smooth.

The cushioning is pretty nice. Full-length Showtime foam gives a soft underfoot feel and good impact protection. It's responsive without being mushy but not super bouncy.

The cushioning is very low to the ground with excellent court feel and smooth transitions. Impact protection may not be sufficient for very heavy players, but you still get a nice bounce back.

Thin, breathable screen mesh with synthetic overlays. Not premium, but lightweight, and it breaks in quickly for the $100 price.
