9.0
Traction
Herringbone outsole pattern with XDR rubber. Tactile grip and wide coverage, excellent on dusty and clean courts for quick cuts.
7.8
Cushion
Full-length Phylon midsole with low-profile forefoot Zoom. Subdued, low-bounce ride with solid court feel and decent responsiveness.
8.0
Materials
Multi-panel textile upper with padding and synthetic overlays. Lightweight and more supportive than the Academy, though some padding traps heat.
8.0
Support
Outsole flange and firmer foam provide basic support. Offers solid lateral stability despite minimal extra support features.
7.8
Fit
True to size for narrow and medium feet. Snug, close fit with a tighter toe box that breaks in nicely.
33%
Outdoor
XDR rubber makes it usable outdoors. Traction holds up but the tread is thin and may wear faster with prolonged outdoor use.

large
Sizing
Runs true to size for most players. Narrow and medium feet can go TTS. 2E users may want a half size up.
narrow
wide
Width
Best for narrow to regular width feet. Wide footers may feel constricted and should consider sizing adjustments.

The Nike GT Cut Cross is a snappy performance shoe. I like how the traction feels, but the cushioning isn't as bouncy as the rest of the GT Cut line.

Great traction both indoors and outdoors. The XDR rubber outsole is extremely durable. Cushion uses a full length Phylon carrier and a forefoot Zoom unit. It is responsive and low to the ground. The upper materials are different from the G.T Cut Academy, and are more supportive. The lack of a shank makes it a very forgiving shoe. Overall, this is a great choice for players who look for a responsive cushioning setup and play outdoors.

There's mild to moderate heel slippage. The outsole flange helps with stability, and so does the firmer foam cushioning.
