7.3
Traction
Multidirectional pattern with sticky rubber. Elite grip on clean courts, dust-sensitive but wipes clean.
8.5
Cushion
Full-length Zoom Strobel with stacked forefoot Zoom. Bouncy and protective, but slow to break in and a bit muted.
6.3
Materials
Foamposite upper with stiff overlays. Premium look and durability, but poor breathability and a long break-in period.
6.8
Support
Internal TPU heel counter and stiff Foamposite chassis. Strong lateral containment and torsional rigidity with some heel slippage.
5.2
Fit
Extremely narrow, tapered forefoot with snug lockdown. Pinches toes until after a lengthy break-in period.
50%
Outdoor
Dust-sensitive traction and a stiff upper suggest limited outdoor suitability and faster wear on rough courts.
small
large
Sizing
Runs narrow. True to size for narrow feet; wide-footers should go up half to a full size.

wide
Width
Extremely narrow forefoot fits narrow feet best. Wider feet will feel pinched and risk blisters.

The Nike G.T. Future is a great-looking shoe with elite traction, plush cushioning once broken in, and strong support. The forefoot fit is problematic, and break-in is tedious. I enjoyed them, but will use them off court rather than for serious play.

At full price, the Nike G.T. Future isn't a great performer. Traction and cushion are decent, but the stiff materials, narrow fit, and heel issues make it uncomfortable. It's more fashion than performance.

Interesting concept and cool looking for casual wear, but not a viable performer. It's heavy, stiff, with poor lockdown and heel slippage. Breaking in may cause more breakdown than improvement.

The traction pattern is absolutely elite. It grips consistently and only slipped once when I hadn't wiped them.

The traction is pretty damn good. It grips well on clean and moderately dusty courts. It picks up some dust, but a quick wipe keeps it consistent.

The traction is disappointing. The hard rubber slipped on the grip ramp at around 29 degrees.

The cushioning is very comfortable once broken in. The full-length Zoom Strobel and double-stacked forefoot Zoom are bouncy, but it takes hours to warm up.

The cushioning is bouncy and provides impact protection. It's a bit muted and lacks court feel and responsiveness.

The cushioning has a full bed of Cushlon and Zoom units, but the midsole is extremely stiff. It barely bends, and breaking it in feels like a breakdown risk.

Off-court materials and aesthetics are excellent, but breathability is poor, and break-in takes hours. However, I love the Foamposite upper, and my personal rating is a 10/10.

The materials look cool but feel heavy. The Foamposite upper is stiff, and breathability is odd. The thin tongue plus thin laces caused serious irritation.

I did not like the fit. It's extremely narrow and very snug in the forefoot. Toes feel cramped because the upper has no give.

The fit is strange. The uppers are very stiff, and heel slippage was nuts. Locking down causes pressure on the front of the ankle.

They might be better outdoors, but the narrow, separated tread and thick rubber could wear down quickly on outdoor courts.
