The traction starts okay, but breaks in to feel very nice. It bites on clean courts. I would stay away from dusty courts.

The traction performs well on all court conditions.

The traction continues to improve with each new model. The herringbone is safe, and the rubber feels reliable.

I personally love the herringbone traction pattern. I like the way the outsole grips the floor.

The cushioning is my favourite part. The full-length Cushlon 3.0 and a large forefoot Zoom unit give a bouncy and responsive ride. Impact protection is adequate but not the best.

The cushioning feels nice. There is a lot of impact protection, and you feel a bit of bounce.

I found the cushion to be decent. The bounce is subtle, and the compression feels soft and comfortable. I love the court feel and responsiveness.

The midsole is soft and springy. I love how comfortable it feels.

The cushioning is light and comfy. A higher-volume Zoom and Cushlon 3.0 give good bounce and impact protection. No shank and some long-term durability concerns, though.

The upper feels a bit cheap. It breaks in softly and is adequately supportive, but the materials lack quality.

The materials feel like cheap textiles. It feels like felt. However, it gets the job done performance-wise.

The materials feel bad. The performance feels decent, but the quality and durability are low.

The materials suck. The synthetic layers feel bad.

The materials feel good and break in nicely. The tongue is padded and gusseted. The uppers are comfortable, but they don't breathe at all.

The materials are hot garbage. They feel cheap and synthetic. The faux nubuck and suede areas are junk. It doesn't feel good at all for a Jordan athlete.

Support and lockdown are adequate. Lateral containment was fine, and my foot stayed in the footbed, but it isn't as stiff or highly supportive as other models.

I thought the support was good. I had no heel support or containment issues. My only concern was the cushioning under the heel. It felt a bit too soft for stability.

Support is lacking. There is no shank, and the TPU pieces don't provide torsional stability. The shoe allows a lot of eversion and benefits from an orthotic. There's also no heel slippage.

Support felt lacking. The TPU midfoot plate bends easily and the heel counter is soft. I wanted more stiffness for quick stops and firmer push-offs.

The fit is a bit roomier and slightly long. It conforms well and is comfortable, but it's not super snug.

I felt okay with the fit. It feels pretty good except for the width.

The fit of Tatum shoes is usually long, but I didn't have any issues.

I wouldn't recommend these for outdoor use. The rubber feels soft and is likely not durable on asphalt.

The durability feels slightly better, but I would not take this pair outdoors.

This might not be the best option if you're an outdoor-only player.
